Do I have to pay for every course?
No. USSSA Baseball has pre-paid for your membership and you can access all the content on the site.
How often is the content updated?
Content is updated when we add new material or when rule/mechanics are modified by any of the governing bodies.
Do I have to follow the courses in order?
You can take any course and any lesson in that course whenever you want. While we have put the courses together in a logical order, you can view any lesson or topic in any order you want.
What does it cost for a subscription to this site?
Your Umpire Association has paid for your subscription to this site and its content.
How is this umpire training different than just reading umpire training books, or by attending an umpire clinic here and there?
First, there is just too much to learn when it comes to baseball rules and mechanics. It can take years before it all sinks in, and for you to see all the play variants that you need to know.
Second, this training portal uses a patented learning method that imprint the material in your visual learning center, which helps you to recognize situations and comprehend the rules at a much faster pace than by using the “old” way. Besides, training manuals are boring, and most people are visual learners.
Do I still need to attend camps or clinics, or can I just use the online courses?
Our training is meant to supplement your camp and/or clinic training, so YES, you should attend clinics each year if possible.
The goal is that since clinics and camps are only offered once or twice a year, you can continually learn the remainder of the year using this proprietary online training approach from your computer or mobile device.
